William T. Hold Seminars

Effective Immediately - The William T. Hold Seminars are Open to the Public!

The William T. Hold Seminars were developed by the Society of CISR. The goal of this program is to give those individuals with their CISR designations an opportunity for further education in property and casualty lines. Effective immediately, these advanced seminars are open to the insurance community.

These seminars also meet the Society's annual requirement for maintaining the CISR designation. The state requires that all registrants attend a class in its entirety to receive continuing education credits (CEUs). Partial credit is not given for partial attendance. LATE ARRIVALS WILL NOT RECEIVE ANY CEUs.

TUITION: $155.00/member $155.00/non-member
For all William T. Hold Seminars, if your state charges a CE fee, you must pay this additional charge by check or credit card at the seminar.
REGISTRATION: 7:30 a.m.
CLASS TIME: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Photo ID: You must present a photo ID to the registrar at all program locations.

Cancellation Policy:
There will be a $55.00 penalty fee if we are not notified in advance of three (3) working days of the scheduled class. Failure to cancel will result in loss of full registration fee.
Late Registrant/Walk-in Fee: A $10 charge will be added to all walk-ins and registrations received within 24 hours of the class. Please call 48 hours in advance to ensure availability.

William T. Hold Seminars: COMMERCIAL LINES II

Certificates of Insurance and Additional Insureds (2 hours)
After attending this session, agents will be able to identify the unique problems in handling Certificates of Insurance and adding Additional Insureds.  They will also gain an understanding of Errors and Omissions considerations.

Commercial Casualty Q&A (2 hours)
Using a question and answer format, agents will review and understand special coverage situations, such as:  Slip and Fall CGL claim, Discontinued Products, Joint Ventures, Country Club events, Limited Liability Companies, and Multi-State Workers Compensation (Part Three) issues.

Cyberliability (2 hours)
Agents will gain an understanding of e-commerce opportunities and the issues of this market segment.  They will examine third-party and first-party exposures and the insurance companies that provide coverage.

Commercial Crime Coverages (2 hours)
This two-hour topic will provide agents with an overview of the latest ISO Commercial Crime Coverage Form.  They will review and understand several of the Insuring Agreements, including Employee Theft and Inside/Outside the Premises Coverages.

William T. Hold Seminars: PERSONAL LINES II

Ethics for CSRs (2 hours)
Agents will understand the ethical behavior, standards, and responsibilities in dealing with the day-to-day realities of the complex, ethical issues of the insurance industry.  They will be able to explain a five-step approach to ethical decision making.

Watercraft (2 hours)

Agents will be able to explain the Watercraft Coverage limitations of the Homeowners Policy.  They will also discuss the differences in the various Boat and Yacht Policy forms.

Personal Lines Q&A (4 hours)
Using a question and answer approach, agents will examine several of the common questions asked by consumers today about coverage provided by their Personal Auto Policy and Homeowners Coverage Form.  They will be able to explain how these forms respond to these exposures.  Using a situational analysis method, they will be able to identify the problem and determine the solution with the preferred outcome to the exposure.  The exposure areas will include but not be limited to business operations, contractual liability, and watercraft coverage.
