Massachusetts Announcement
Effective January 4th, 2010

Prometric, who currently maintains the continuing education database for the Division of Insurance, will stop using Social Security numbers to identify licensees in the reporting process of continuing education credit hours.  Continuing Education Providers will begin reporting continuing education credits via electronic roster submission, based upon the licensees’ Massachusetts Producer license numbers or Public Insurance Adjuster license numbers. 

  • Be sure to use the Massachusetts Producer License Number, not NPN.
  • There is not an online resource site to look up one’s license number, but one can email to the Producer Mailbox at producerupdate.mailbox@MassMail.State.Mass.US or call Producer Licensing Department at (617) 521-7794 and opt for line #2.
