Our program is designed to prepare you for the Massachusetts insurance exams. It is a combination of required self-study and classroom review.
For Property & Casualty Licensing, the requirements are:
1. Complete our self-study and 2-day review class.
2. Take the state examination.
3. Contact the Division of Insurance for a producer's license application.
Be sure to have your licensing test date set up for right after this review… Prometric will administer the state licensing exam. You will receive the Massachusetts Licensing Information Bulletin when you place an order. This bulletin has all of the testing requirements, locations and information within it.
To register for the licensing exam, call Prometric 800 -741-9380 or on the web at www.prometric.com. The cost of the exams will be $49.00 per exam -- if you take two exams at the same time, you may register and schedule for both exams for one $49.00 fee. Payment for the exam is due upon registration. Examination registration fees are non-refundable or transferable and expire in 90 days.
(Because it is such a good discount, the Friday breakfast, lunch and reception are not included)
Marshall Katz, MS, CIC, LIA, AAI, LUTC
Marshall currently teaches full-time for MAIA on a variety of subjects from personal lines licensing to CISR & CIC designation programs. Marshall started in the industry working for a direct writer in their personal lines sales department and after many years with them opened his own independent agency. The agency wrote personal and commercial lines as well as life and health products. He juggled agency duties with teaching classes for 24 years and has since sold the agency to be able to concentrate on facilitating classes. All though he is now back writing insurance for select accounts through a local agency.
Marshall has a Bachelors degree from Clark University with a major in accounting and a Masters degree also from Clark with a major in Marketing Communications. He is a licensed producer in MA and CT and a licensed insurance advisor in MA and an avid golfer and woodworker.
