Line Dancing - "Let's Dance!"
CEUs: N/A

Speaker(s): Mary Dragon

Line Dancing is a fun way to exercise. Benefits include: increase in energy & balance control, improves strength & muscle tone, reduces stress, lowers blood pressure & cholesterol levels, helps ease level of depression and helps ward off early signs of Alzheimer's. AND, no partner is needed! A series of dance steps done over and over again to 1, 2 or 4 walls, using popular music.

Mary Dragon was born into a military family where traveling allowed for dance instruction (tap, ballet, jazz) at various studios abroad and on the east coast for 30 years. In 1994, she switched over to line dancing and joined the Country Kickers Dance Team (Boylston, MA). Mary became their choreographer, manager and dancer in 1996. She currently teaches at Assabet's "After Dark" Program in Marlborough, and local senior centers in Northborough, Hudson, Westborough, Shrewsbury & Grafton, as well as private events.
