MAIA’s Make-A-Wish Facebook Campaign
Beginning today, September 5, 2012, MAIA will join our national association, IIABA, and the independent insurance agents’ consumer brand, Trusted Choice, in their efforts to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation.  Between today and November 8, 2012 (the start of the 2012 “Big Event”) for every new “Like” of the official MAIA Facebook Page, MAIA will donate $1 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Massachusetts and Rhode Island (up to $7500).  This dollar amount will grant a wish to a child with a life-threatening medical condition in Massachusetts.

Over the last two years IIABA and Trusted Choice have donated overt $300,000 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, allowing numerous wished to be granted throughout the country.  MAIA is pleased to join in this effort.

“We are so very thankful to The Massachusetts Association of Insurance Agents for their fundraising efforts this fall to benefit Make-A-Wish® Massachusetts and Rhode Island,” said Charlotte Beattie, Chief Executive Officer, Make-A-Wish® Massachusetts and Rhode Island.  “It means so much to us and, most importantly, it means so much to the wish children right here in our community, as funds raised here in Massachusetts stay here in Massachusetts.  For the past 25 years, it has been our mission to grant wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions, and with the generous help of MAIA members, we will be able to grant more magical wishes to provide the life-affirming gifts of hope, strength, and joy to local children and their families,” added Beattie.

So if you are a Facebook user just go to the MAIA Facebook Page and click “Like”.  Your participation will help make a wish come true for a special child.  Thanks.
