Flood: Interactive Tool Estimates the Cost of Flooding

With spring upon our door, I was at FloodSmart.gov looking at an article about how this winter may affect the potential for flooding this spring. Personally, I view weather as a true unpredictable force. I also believe that many people forgo the purchase of flood coverage thinking it is already covered in their homeowner’s policy or that it will never happen to them – or at least they hope it won’t. READ MORE & GET THE INTERACTIVE FLOOD TOOL...

Meet Your Agency Team

Michelle St. Angelo, CISR, is a long time employee of Number One Insurance and MAIA, starting back in 1993. Like so many of you, she has been brave enough to wear many hats during her tenure here. From Workers' Comp to E&O to Applied Systems knowledge - we like to say "she knows it all". Michelle has been a licensed producer since 1998 and earned her CISR designation in 2007. She now focuses her time as the Agents' & Lawyers' E&O Program Manager. Contact Michelle with your questions about either program today.

In last month’s newsletter we shared information about E&O Risks and Scrap Metal Theft. The first sentence of the article stated: “The first MA E&O Claim regarding the theft of scrap metal from a vacant building was recently reported and closed with a payout just under $10,000.”  That should have said - "JUST UNDER $100,000". We apologize for leaving off a zero!  If you’d like to see the article again, just click here.
